Taking Art Inspiration From Fall

Taking Art Inspiration From Fall

For most of you, the season of fall is enchanting! Your eyes and senses are heightened by the gorgeous bright and golden yellows of the aspen trees or the range of pink cherry reds to the warm scarlet of the maples and we must not forget the orange leaves popping against the blue skies. This time of year we maybe thinking of the hot ambers of a camp fire outside. What is speaking to your artistic side?

I actually found inspiration at the Traders Joe store. Who knew? I found dried seed pods that were calling to me. So I bought a few and began to do blind contours which developed into a botanical mandala soon to be offered for a local class. Another inspiration may come from the foods available to eat at this time of year like squashes, pumpkins, persimmons and pomegranates! For more on bumpy pumpkin painting go to my
